"A ravishing parade of metres, neat rhymes and
carefully formatted rhythms...rich, manifestly brilliant lyrics...and I do mean
brilliant."
Ken Rattenbury (Crescendo, London)
"Destined to be a refreshing hit...intimate lyrics, a lovely
mid-range voice...an uncommon maiden voyage, certainly one to savor."
Nancy Ann Lee (Jazz Times)
In 1997, an album of mine was completed (feel free to sample in Real Audio as you read on). This was an endeavor that did not
take much time at all from its inception if you compare it to certain other things, like
how long velociraptors roamed the planet.

A line from one of the songs prompted me to package the first version under the title Paper
or Plastic. The cover featured me lying nude among paper and plastic grocery bags.

Several of my friends found this concept repellent and told me right away a year or so
later. Then I sold it on the Net for a while and it looked like this:

David Bean, proprietor of Bean Bag Entertainment, heard the music. He expressed
his desire to re-master/-package/-name the album and add a couple of edited tracks, and
signed a deal with me.

A few independent jazz/NAC stations latched on to this new version, The Body
Remembers, and it got some interesting feedback,
but the distribution scene was a bit screwy, and the distributor, INDI, ultimately
went belly-up and filed Chapter 11. Bean Bag folded shortly thereafter.
It's a sad, familiar tale, my friends. The CD is selling quite briskly, though, on CD Baby.
